The Scroobious Pip by Edward Lear (1830-1888)
"Then all the beasts that walk on the ground
Danced in a circle round and round-
And all the birds that fly in the air
Flew round and round in a circle there,
And all the fish in the Jellybolee
Swum in a circle about the sea,
And all the insects that creep or go
Buzzed in a circle to and fro.
And they roared and sang and whistled and cried
Till the noise was heard from side to side-
Chippetty tip! Chippetty tip!
It’s only name is the Scroobious Pip."

Thou Shalt Always Kill [subtitled]
(YouTube)

"Thou Shalt Always Kill"
"is a 2007 song by Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip...
The song comprises an electronic dance beat with the vocals taking
the form of a satirical rant at aspects of modern British culture. The pivotal
message is to "think for yourselves" rather than to follow current
trends or get caught up in hype. The artists claim that the title,
and final line of the song, refer to
'killing' in the sense of performing excellently."

Texas city revives paddling as it takes a swat at misbehavior
"In an era when students talk back to teachers, skip class and wear
ever-more-risque clothing to school, one central Texas city has hit
upon a deceptively simple solution: Bring back the paddle...
Corporal punishment remains legal in 20 states, mostly in the South,
but its use is diminishing...
Rules about paddling vary from district to district, but typically
only administrators, not teachers, can mete out the punishment,
which is done in private."

Fox Pups Rescued With Help From Soap
"Three fox cubs got their heads stuck in a drain grate in Plainfield,
Connecticut last Friday. Neighborhood residents could hear their mother
calling for them from out of sight. After firefighters were unable to cut the grate,
Animal Control Officer Karen Stone tried lubricating the pup’s heads with
Vaseline, then corn oil, but had no luck. What finally did the trick was a dose of
Dawn dishwashing detergent. The pups were freed from the grate and
driven back to the area of their den, soapy but unharmed."
